Pupils put through their paces in AberdoveyCAFOD sponsored walk raises over £400

Written by Anna Handy (10C)

On the morning of Monday 4th May, 10 students and teachers from the CAFOD group took part in a five mile sponsored walk in Bolsterstone to raise money for CAFOD. The walk took us through villages, footpaths, fields, by reservoirs, up a LOT of hills, along a windy ridge, down some extremely steep hills and through moorland with panoramic views on either side. As well as raising money for CAFOD we helped a little lost dog (affectionately named CAF) find her way back to the starting point and to her owners, even though we all wanted to take her home ourselves!

Overall the whole walk raised £7000+ and our CAFOD group raised £400+. Thank-You to everybody who sponsored the participants!
