Y10 learn about the 'Miracle of Life'
" I thought the LIFE day was an interesting experience because a lot was learned during the day." In the first session a woman call Eileén Maher, from the LIFE charity in Sheffield, came to St. Austin’s theatre to talk about the miracle of life with Year 10 pupils. She told us about the difference stages in which a baby grows and develops.

‘Poetry Live, 2006’: A full day of culture, history and personal experiences brought to life by the punchy Anthology poets themselves. On Tuesday 21st November, a group of 62 Year 11 pupils and 3 staff attended the annual ‘Poetry Live’ conference in the Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds.

GCSE Dance students and Gifted and Talented pupils took part in a Northern Ballet Theatre Workshop on the 26th September 2006. The workshop included learning repertoire from their current production of The Three Musketeers which was being performed at the West Yorkshire Play house.

THE latest Key Stage 4 performance tables released by the DfES on Thursday, 19 January, show St Thomas à Becket Catholic College has one of the best contextual value added figures in Wakefield and has the highest pass rate for the fourth year running using the new A*-C including English and Mathematics indicator.
